重庆市英语、多媒体示范学校-----重庆北城书画学校位于重庆市龙溪，占地二十六亩，环境优雅精致；我校成立于1998年，是一所集早期教育,小学、初中教育为一体的社会力量办学机构。从2001年9月开始，第一批学生入校就读，现有师生人数约600人。
学校实行封闭式管理，开放式办学，以“弘扬中华文化，培育一代新人”为宗旨，以美育为拓展点，因材施教的综合艺术教育，使学生成为全方位发展性人才。
学校教学以九年制义务教育教学大纲为基础，采用互根学教学模式的生态性教学，将卫星网络教学的优势体现在每位学生的身上。实行“小班制”学习。针对学生的知识基础存在的层次差异，确定不同层次的学习目标，并针对每一个学生制定CI计划书,加强分类辅导，达到使每个层次的学生都定点提高，让“因材施教”得以充分落实。学生素质和学习成绩一直在本地区处于领先地位。
学校开设了《牛津英语》课程，导用了听、说、读、写、唱训练齐头并进，并常年聘请外籍教师训练学生的口语和听力。
学校还设有多功能厅、形体训练厅、电脑室、书画厅、电子阅览室等，为学生素质培养提供了极好的空间和条件。
我们的教师队伍是一支老中青相结合的队伍，是一批敬业爱岗、专业知识优异、高学历、高素质的优秀人才，学校聘请了专业资深的书画作家和书画教师，校内学生曾多次在国内、国际上的书法、美术绘画比赛中获奖。
另外，为了提高学生书画写生水平，学校还在铁山坪森林公园内投资修建了优雅的写生基地；成立了“重庆国际书画交流中心”和“重庆华夏书画艺术研究院。”从建校的那一刻起，“北城人”就立志要把北城书画学校建成国际名校。在过去短短的六年时间，我校师生踊跃参加各级各类比赛都取得了傲人的成绩，还多次在各地区成功组织策划了画展、主题文艺汇演等形式多样、富有意义的活动,先后6次接待国内外教育专家团的参观考察，还为13个社区的儿童免费提供各类辅导、培训，赢得了社会各界的赞誉和好评！特别是2003年11月20日世界儿童日的出色表演的报道还被刊登在海外杂志上……
祖国的几千年文化博大精深，怎样将之继承并发扬光大是我们每个中华儿女义不容辞的责任，更是还有待我们去实现的空间，而诗、书、画、印、武、医最具中国文化特色代表的六个项目。因此，我们从2000年就开始致力于中国传统武术和中医的研究。如今，我们对此充满信心，并希望能通过学校的校际交流让更多的外国朋友了解中国、了解中国文化！
Introduction
Chongqing Beicheng Calligraphy & Painting School is located in Longxi, Chongqing and covering an area of 26 Mu (17,342 m2), is a school with delicately designed environment.
Beicheng, founded in 1998, is a private school providing preliminary education, primary and junior schooling. Beicheng received its first students in September 2001 and now has approximately 600 students and teaching staff. Beicheng is a fully enclosed school providing open education to children. Our vision is to cultivate the new characteristic and promote traditional Chinese culture?among children. We extend aesthetic and moral education among children and provide individual specific solutions. We are committed to educate the whole child.
We provide student specific teaching programs. Based on China's Teaching Outline for Compulsory Education, our teaching program features calligraphy and English language. We facilitate every student with the benefit of multimedia teaching by adherence to interactive learning and by using satellite network. Students attend mini-classes that are extensively adopted worldwide: each student has his/her own objective based on his/her own beginning level; each student has his/her own CI and each student receives specialist coaching to achieve respective improvement.
Our students receive high level education and maintain leading achievements in Chongqing. They receive Oxford English Program since Grade 1 including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and singing. We employ native English teachers for speaking and listening courses and our students speak fluent English, free from dumb English which is common among other Chinese students. In addition, our multifunctional hall, body building hall, computer center, calligraphy and painting hall, and electronic reading room well facilitate students in learning.
In order to provide a practice platform, we established a beautiful and elegant practice ground in Tie Shanping Forest Park. We have also founded Chongqing International Calligraphy and Painting Exchange Center and Chongqing Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Institute.
We are committed to build an international school since the birth of Beicheng. We have achieved remarkably in the past three years in various competitions and championships. We organized and sponsored various activities and events like exhibitions and subject artistic performances. We have received 6 international and national educational delegations.
We value social work. We have provided free coaching and training to children from 13 communities. On 20 November 2003, our performance for World Children's Day was published on an overseas magazine.
We are born to promote the profound and great Chinese culture. We are advantaged in the China-characterized poems, calligraphy, painting, seals, martial arts, and TCM. We devoted ourselves to the study of Traditional Chinese Medical Science and martial arts. We undertake to introduce China and promote Chinese culture to more foreign friends through exchange and communication.
